My political commentary for our times, based on Waylon Jennings’ Are You Sure Hank Done It This Way. Lord, it’s the same old tune. Power and control. Where do we take it from here? Censors over there and propaganda everywhere. It’s been the same way for years. We need a change. Somebody told me I had to give up my freedom to tyrants that they say know best. But I don’t believe their lies, and I see with my own eyes. Do we all really do it this way? Does America do shit this way? It’s been 50 years since Nixon resigned. Since then it’s been a steady decline. The bullshit is spread, and the system seems dead. Are you sure we do it this way? Why the hell did we throw it all away? Lord, I’ve seen the world going straight to hell with endless wars and corporate greed. Singing sad songs, and everything is wrong. And I don’t think we do it this way.
