Amid mounting backlash that began in April when Bud Lite put transgender TikTok personality Dylan Mulvaney’s face on its beer can as part of the company’s March Madness ad campaign, a growing number of retailers have begun second-guessing their decision to go woke with little consideration for the majority of the consumers they serve. Boycotts are building against brands and stores such as Target and Kohl’s. In Los Angeles parents have even taken to boycotting pride assemblies by keeping their children home from public schools.
