Wake Up, America: FBI Whistleblower Says Gov’t Weaponized Against Own Citizens

The U.S. government is preparing to turn its political, technological, and even military might against its own citizens, warned FBI whistleblower Steve Friend.

I had the honor to meet Friend last week at a private event. In my piece originally published on The Prickly Pear about Friend’s talk, I highlighted some of his sobering warnings for Americans. According to Friend, the FBI is almost entirely filled now with individuals who are either political zealots or willing to follow orders to keep a job; and the agent training is geared toward worsening the weaponization. That’s the situation in multiple government agencies, he said, and it is infecting the military as well.

MAGA supporters, military veterans (especially Marines), the Covid-19 unvaccinated, religious Americans, and gun owners are among the particular targets of the FBI, according to Friend.

So, what does this tell you? For one thing, it undermines the argument that you can be non-political, or simply live your life without worrying about the government. You don’t have to be a Trump supporter AND religious to be targeted. If you are a gun owner or unvaccinated, you are on a list. The days of you living on your own little plot of property in a self-contained world without worrying about who governs you are long gone. I’m not sure they ever truly existed, but certainly you could not live that way now.

You have to know and care who is your president and governor and congressman and mayor and school board representative and so on, because, as we learned during Covid, they can shut your life down in a second for completely irrational and arbitrary reasons. That’s one lesson we should have learned from Covid lockdowns and mandates, but too many people did not learn it. No matter how blatantly our supposedly inviolable rights were attacked under Covid, too many people didn’t seem to process that their government wants to destroy their lives and is willing to do pretty much anything to attain its goals.
