Two US service members have been killed in Jordan, and a further service member is missing in action.
In a statement, US Central Command said the two people died during Iranian ballistic missile and drone attacks, and four service members were medically evacuated to hospitals in the country but were later discharged.
These are the first US deaths due to direct Iranian fire since the opening days of the war.
