Gaetz Is Right: Kevin McCarthy Shouldn’t Be Speaker

Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) is right. Kevin McCathy (R-CA) has to go as Speaker of the House.

Back in January, when McCarthy was elected Speaker of the House, I wrote two pieces explaining why McCarthy shouldn’t have been Speaker. I explained how he had stabbed Trump in the back (and of course Trump stupidly, and against the wishes of his supporters, helped McCarthy get elected); how McCarthy had abandoned the January 6 political prisoners; how he is a corrupt politician, who cares far more for power and political convenience than for principles; how he refuses to speak about stolen elections; how he helped destructive legislation pass; and how he spent millions ensuring that patriotic, hard-fighting Republican representatives and candidates would lose their Congressional seats.
