Biased Google’s AI is entering a new phase of online news manipulation.

Google announced various AI updates in an August 15 blog post, including a feature where its generative AI Search experience (SGE) will provide summaries of articles on websites. While Google touts the update as helping users “navigate information online and get to the core of what you’re looking for even faster,” Google has repeatedly shown that it is not a trustworthy or objective source when it comes to news.

MRC Free Speech America found that Google’s AI chatbot Bard displayed pro-abortion bias when asked whether the Supreme Court decided Roe v. Wade or Dobbs v. Jacksoncorrectly.
