Syrian civil defence crews respond to a deadly bus crash on the Damascus–Deir Ezzor highway, extinguishing a fire that broke out at the scene as the charred remains of both buses lay on the road.

According to a preliminary tally from the Ministry of Health, the crash killed 35 people and injured 30 others.
