Well, there are no more private conversations, even within the confines of your own vehicle”
This is real and is Section 24220 of the 2021 Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act The law defines “advanced drunk and impaired driving prevention technology” as a system that must do one or more of the following: (A) Passively monitor the performance of a driver to accurately identify whether that driver may be impaired, and prevent or limit the vehicle’s operation if impairment is detected. (B) Passively and accurately detect the driver’s blood alcohol concentration (at or above the legal limit), and prevent or limit operation if it exceeds that limit. (C) A combination of (A) and (B). Here’s the extremely concerning part, QUOTE “passively monitor the performance of a driver of a motor vehicle to accurately identify whether that driver may be impaired” This is mass surveillance sold to us as “safety” The law is still passed and remains in effect. It has not been repealed
