On Wednesday, the Senate GOP postponed a vote on Todd Blanche’s attorney general nomination. The move comes after Sens. John Cornyn, R-TX, and Thom Tillis, R-NC, demanded written assurance from Blanche and the Department of Justice to never pursue the settlement of President Donald Trump’s lawsuit against the IRS — which Blanche refused. MS NOW’s Ali Vitali calls the moment the “first true test” for Cornyn and Tillis — both set to retire in January — to “actually put their vote where their talk has been.”
