The Trump administration is reportedly negotiating to swap a piece of Yosemite National Park to a private developer. It’s part of a broader rollback of protections covering more than 86 million acres of public land. Meanwhile, inside Grand Teton National Park, the Park Service is being ordered to approve a paved pathway it once rejected because it found it would harm wildlife. Former Park Service Superintendent Joan Anzelmo warns, “National parks are a birthright to all Americans, and they are treasured by the world– and once they are gone, they are gone.”
