Newly unsealed bodycam footage captures the chaotic aftermath of the January 2023 shooting at Richneck Elementary School in Newport News, Virginia, showing the then-6-year-old boy cursing at a school employee and responding officers after shooting first-grade teacher Abby Zwerner, striking her in the hand and chest. The boy, now 9 or 10, remains in Newport News in the custody of his great-grandfather, while his mother, Deja Nicole Taylor, was released from prison in February after serving state and federal sentences stemming from child neglect and firearm-related cases.
