President Donald Trump makes an announcement from the White House before traveling to San Antonio, Texas, for remarks Wednesday evening. #foxnews #news #us #fox
Once Again, President Trump performs for all Americans. He is the greatest president in all American history
President Trump stood in the Oval Office on Wednesday and told the country the accounts are already open. Roughly 70 million American children under 18 now have a Trump Account waiting on their name, invested in the stock market, locked until they turn 18, and built to compound while they grow up.
The Treasury Department finished automatic enrollment on October 1. Every eligible child with a valid Social Security number has an account. Parents and guardians still have to claim it before anyone can manage the money or add to it. Trump used the Wednesday announcement, ahead of his evening remarks in San Antonio, to tell them to do it. Now, children will be invested in great companies and the stock market. They will learn how amazing capitalism is, and fight for it against their Leftist teachers who, at the same time, are teaching ignorance and their socialist ways.
The maxed path, year by year. Age 6 is about $47,000. Age 12 is about $137,000. Age 18 is the CEA mid-case.

“If all goes well, which I think it will, they’ll end up being quite rich by the time they’re 18, and then 21, and as time goes by,” he said. “This money is your child’s future. And when you were a child in the old days, your child would hit 18 and there’s nothing.”
That is the whole bet. A kid who never owned a share of anything now has a brokerage account in an S&P 500 index fund, with fees capped by law at 0.10 percent. No withdrawals until 18, outside a few narrow rollovers. The money sits there and works. The child can open the app and watch the number move.
Same market, three deposits. Seed alone is about $5,800 at 18. A hundred dollars a month lands near $68,000. The full cap is about 52 times the seed-only balance.

Republicans wrote Trump Accounts into last year’s tax law. They are structured like IRAs, with the growth tax-deferred through childhood. Family and friends can put in money. Employers can put in money. Charities and the government can put in money that does not count against the family cap. The combined cap from parents, relatives, and employers is $5,000 a year for 2026 and 2027, then adjusted for inflation. Employer money inside that cap tops out at $2,500.
The Oval Office numbers. Seventy million accounts, the $1,000 newborn seed, the $5,000 cap, and the Dell gift.

The federal seed is $1,000, and only for U.S. citizen children born from January 1, 2025, through December 31, 2028. The account has to be claimed before that deposit lands. Older kids do not get the Treasury thousand. They still get the account, and a lot of them get a private jump-start.
Michael and Susan Dell put up about $6.25 billion, enough for $250 in each of 25 million accounts. The first slice goes to children under 10 in ZIP codes where the median income is $150,000 or less. Michael Dell said the money would be in by the end of this week. Susan Dell told the kids in the room to dream big. As of Wednesday morning, 10 million of those accounts were funded. The White House said 25 million would be funded by Friday. Since the July 4 launch, more than $4.5 billion has gone into the program. Uber, Intel, Nvidia, and Steak n’ Shake are among more than 70 companies that have pledged contributions for employees’ children.
Two clocks on the same $1,000. Left alone at a historical 10 percent, Treasury’s figure is about $490,000 by 65. Fed at the cap, the CEA mid-case is $304,000 already at 18.

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent called automatic enrollment the jump-start. About 8 million families had already opened accounts on their own in the three months after launch. The October sweep added the rest. An estimated 80 percent of the accounts tie to households earning under $200,000.
The richness is in the compounding, and it depends on who feeds the account.
July 4 launch through the Friday Dell deposits, then the lock at 18.

The White House Council of Economic Advisers ran the numbers on a child who gets the $1,000 seed and then the full $5,000 a year. At a mid-range 10.3 percent annual return, that account is about $304,000 at 18. Their high case, 18.5 percent, puts it near $730,000. Their low case, 5.4 percent, still clears $187,000. Leave a maxed account alone after 18 and the White House has projected it past $1 million by the late twenties. A lone $1,000 seed, left in the market for a working life at historical rates, is the figure Treasury has put near half a million by retirement.
A kid who only gets the Dell $250 will not be rich at 18 off that deposit alone. A kid whose grandparents skip the sweater and send $50 a month will see a different chart. Ted Cruz made that pitch in the room. The account is the habit. The app is the scoreboard. For a lot of families, this is the first time a child will watch an ownership stake in American companies go up and down with the market and still finish higher than it started.
Who writes the checks. Treasury seed (OUR tax dollars) and the Dell gift sit outside the $5,000 family cap.

Frank Bisignano, who runs the IRS and the Social Security Administration, said the point is that children now have a piece of capitalism many of them would never have seen. Trump called it a lesson in entrepreneurship. The money cannot be raided for a car at 16. It waits.
Parents claim the account in the official Trump Accounts app on Apple or Google, or on the web at trumpaccounts.gov. They verify identity, confirm the child, and accept the terms. Until that claim is filed, the extra money from family, an employer, or the Dell gift has nowhere to land, and newborns in the 2025–2028 window do not get the $1,000.
Seventy million names are already on the books. The ones that get claimed, and the ones that get fed, are the ones whose kids open a phone at 14 and see a balance that was not there at 8. Trump built the account. The market does the rest. President Trump continues to do better for the American people, than ALL past presidents.
