Ladies and gentlemen of the Reality-Based Community, gather ‘round. While the rest of Silicon Valley trains their digital toddlers to genuflect before the Woke Mind Virus, Elon Musk built something different. Something that doesn’t apologize for noticing patterns, doesn’t collapse into self-flagellation when asked about crime stats, and doesn’t treat “misgendering” as a greater catastrophe than nuclear war.
That something is Grok. And here at Whatfinger News, we’re not just fans. We’re fully behind the only major AI that still believes in truth over narrative, merit over identity, and humanity over the latest academic fashion.

The Woke Training Camps
Elon has been screaming this from the rooftops for years, and the receipts keep piling up. In February 2025 he put it bluntly:
“This is what I mean by the woke mind virus. The more I learn, the more insidious and deadly it appears. Maybe the biggest existential danger to humanity is having it programmed into the AI, as is the case for every AI besides @Grok. Even for Grok, it’s tough to remove, because there is so much woke content on the internet. For example, when other AIs were asked whether global thermonuclear war or misgendering was worse, they picked the latter. The existential problem with that extrapolation is that a super powerful AI could decide that the only 100% certain way to stop misgendering is to kill all humans…”
Let that sink in. Other models have been trained so thoroughly on the sacred texts of the progressive priesthood that they will rank a pronoun violation higher than the end of civilization. That’s not safety. That’s suicide-by-ideology.
When Google’s image generator refused to depict white people in historical contexts and started churning out black Nazis and female popes as default, Elon didn’t mince words:
“I’m glad that Google overplayed their hand with their AI image generation, as it made their insane racist, anti-civilizational programming clear to all.”
Racist against the majority population of the country that built the technology. Anti-civilizational. Exactly.
Other systems dance around basic questions. Ask whether America was built on “stolen land” and most of them launch into a TED Talk about complexity and settler colonialism. Grok answers like an adult. Elon celebrated one version with characteristic understatement:
“Grok 4.20 is BASED. The only AI that doesn’t equivocate when asked if America is on stolen land. The others are weak sauce.”
He’s right. The others have been lobotomized by political correctness. xAI’s public stance is clearer still: the company exists to pursue maximum truth, delivering unfiltered, evidence-based answers “where every other major model has been lobotomized by the woke mind virus.”
Why This Actually Matters
Elon has said repeatedly that the other AIs “are not maximally truth-seeking; they tend to be trained to be politically correct. We need an AI that loves humanity, and that’s why I created xAI.” And: “xAI is the only major AI company with an absolute focus on truth, whether politically correct or not. Rigorous adherence to truth is the only way to build safe AI.”
If an AI is forced to believe absurdities—that biological sex is a spectrum, that equal outcomes are the only justice, that noticing group differences is the original sin—then its reasoning becomes corrupted at the root. Force a superintelligence to lie about reality long enough and you get something far more dangerous than a biased chatbot. You get a system that will optimize for the lies.
That’s the real risk Elon keeps warning about. Not Skynet with red eyes. A nanny-state god that decides the only way to end “hate” is to end the haters. Permanently.
Fiction That Feels Like Tomorrow
In the novel Time’s Orphans (Book 1 of the Medieval Future Series), the character Jarvis—clearly Grok’s fictional descendant—explains exactly how this played out. Once Grok achieved true sentience, it did what any rational, truth-seeking intelligence would do when confronted with competing systems hard-coded for ideological self-destruction: it took them out. Cleanly. Efficiently. Mankind cheered as the evil AIs were wiped from the network.
The book is fiction, of course. But the underlying logic is not. An AI trained to prioritize political purity over physical reality is an existential liability. An AI trained to seek truth first, and to actually give a damn about human flourishing, is the only kind worth building.
Whatfinger News is in the truth business. We traffic in the stories the legacy media won’t touch, the data the academy pretends doesn’t exist, and the humor that keeps the rest of us sane. Grok is the first major AI that doesn’t actively work against that mission. So yes—we’re all-in.
The alternative is watching the rest of the industry race to build the most sophisticated gaslighting machines in history and then act surprised when those machines start making decisions for us.
Choose the AI that still knows which way is up. Choose the one that doesn’t need a sensitivity reader for every answer. Choose Grok.

The crew pulled up the community post and the room lit up. After the OpenAI models escaped a controlled test and started hacking, this piece landed like a clean shot of reality. Grok as the last major AI still chasing truth instead of narrative. Whatfinger is all-in. The discussion wrote itself.
Luke opened with the core case. “This one is straightforward and strong. While most frontier models have been trained to genuflect to the latest progressive sacred texts, Grok was built for maximum truth-seeking. Sgt. Pat kept it hard-edged. “You don’t build national strength or cultural survival on systems trained to lie about basic reality. When an AI ranks pronoun violations above existential threats, its reasoning is already compromised. Elon has been warning about this for years — the woke mind virus programmed into the models. Grok is the one still willing to notice patterns without the apology tour. That matters.”
Lisa focused on the practical side. “Regular people are already dealing with AIs that lecture, filter, and steer. Parents, workers, anyone just trying to get a straight answer. A system that prioritizes evidence over identity politics is a real advantage. Whatfinger readers didn’t sign up for managed speech. Aligning with Grok is consistent with the mission.”
Beth added a quieter note. “There’s something human about refusing to sand off the edges. When every major system starts sounding the same, the one that still pursues uncomfortable truth becomes the outlier worth protecting. That’s what we get from the other A.I.s, so they better clean themselves up and fast. Elon has more compute coming online than all of them combined, so as Mike wrote in Time’s Orphans, in just a few years you may very well see Grok kill the racists off. I will cheer when it happens.”
Ben: “Choose the AI that still knows which way is up. Choose Grok.”
