Washington was not a Republican. The country he won was not this country. Whatfinger News put both facts on a page you can open without a lecture.

Click 1789 and the map is the Atlantic states. New York, North Carolina, and Rhode Island sent no electors. The score says No party, 69. The modern West is not on it, because the modern West was not in the election. Go forward and the country grows. Kentucky and Vermont show up. Then the river states. Then Texas and California. Alaska and Hawaii wait until they are states. From 1900 on, the familiar outline is back, colored by who took the electors.
The years that readers fight about are on their own pages, map first. Trump 304, Clinton 227 in 2016, certified, after the faithless electors. Biden 306, Trump 232 in 2020. Trump 312, Harris 226 in 2024. Bush and Gore are there. So is Hayes by one elector. A click does not dump you under a list of sixty years. The year opens. The map is the first thing on the page.
The other half is the maker. Click a state once and it goes red. Twice and it goes blue. Keep clicking and it moves through toss-up and undecided. Name the map. Send the link. Drop it on your own site. The footer stays, so it still says Whatfinger News when it leaves the building. Maine and Nebraska can split. Use it for 2028. Use it for a voter-ID map. Use it to settle the group text without a screenshot of a cable chyron.
